During Tuesday night’s Ava Max show in Los Angeles, a spectator climbed onto the stage and punched her while security tried to confront him.
Posted Videos Social media is seen someone on stage slapping the 29-year-old singer before being pulled away by security. Max touched her face where she was hit and continued to dance until the end of the song when she was able to leave the stage to treat her injury.
“He hit me so hard he scratched the inside of my eye. He never comes to a show again. tweeted Ava Max on the incident. “But thanks to the fans for being spectacular in LA tonight!”
“This is a reminder that this behavior is unacceptable,” read a tweet from an Ava Max fan account, which posted video of the incident. “We send all our love to Ava and her crew.”
“I was there tonight” tweeted a fan who took a photo with Max at the meet and greet after the concert. “The guy stormed onto the stage at the end when the last song was over. The guard grabbed him and literally threw him down the stairs. Wild! It was so quick. Here you can see she couldn’t even open her eyes but still did M&G (meet and greet).”
The incident happened just days after another incident involving the singer Bebe Rexha was hospitalized after a spectator threw a phone at her during a New York concert.
Rexha, 33, “was taken to a local hospital by paramedics in stable condition” and said she was “fine” – despite a laceration above her eyelid and a black eye. According to a New York City Police Department statement, Nicolas Malvagna, a 27-year-old New Jersey man, has been arrested and charged with assault.
