Beyonce wasn’t the only artist to drop new music during Super Bowl LVIII; Jennifer Lopez announces a new album to coincide with her musical film experience releasing this Friday.

The Grammys may be Music’s Biggest Night, but the Super Bowl might be a contender for its second biggest night, with numerous artists seizing the opportunity to promote new material. Following Taylor Swift’s announcement of a new album at the Grammys last week, the Super Bowl has provided a launchpad this week for several artists with upcoming projects.

Halftime Show performer Usher announced an expansion on his North American tour, while Beyonce released new music (and announced a new album) during a playful Verizon ad, and Jennifer Lopez teases new music during her comical cameo in a Dunkin Donuts spot that featured Tom Brady, Matt Damon, and her husband Ben Affleck.

Actress and artist Jennifer Lopez’s first major music project in nearly a decade, the 65-minute musical film “This Is Me…Now: A Love Story,” releases on Prime Video this Friday, February 16, alongside a new full-length album, This Is Me…Now, coming out on the same day.

The name is a reference to her third album, This Is Me…Then, released in 2002. Five days ahead of that debut, J.Lo is embracing the return to traditional physical albums, with a bespoke collection of special and limited editions on CD and vinyl.

The deluxe CD includes a 40-page booklet featuring exclusive photos — plus two of 20 possible polaroid photos, a format to which K-pop fans are already intimately familiar. The standard vinyl comes in “Jennifer’s favorite color of green,” alongside eight additional exclusive vinyl colors, creating a collectors series which is available to preorder now.

Directed by Dave Meyers and Chris Shafer, with a script Lopez co-wrote alongside Matt Walton, the film is based on an original story by Lopez, and stars (naturally) Lopez alongside husband Ben Affleck. Joining them is a host of A-listers, including Jane Fonda, Trevor Noah, Post Malone, Keke Palmer, Sofía Vergara, Kim Petras, Fat Joe, Jay Shetty, Neil deGrasse Tyson, and numerous others.
