Gunna will be performing live for the first time in two years since she was released from prison in the RICO case. Here’s the latest.

Gunna is scheduled to perform on September 9th at New York’s Barclays Center for a show called The Gift. He will then perform another show at the YouTube Theater in Los Angeles on September 28th called The Curse. Tickets for both shows Will go on sale July 21st, Citi Card members get priority access July 18th. Artist Fan Club and Spotify Fan First pre-sales begin July 19. Gunna also donates $1 from every ticket sold to the Goodr Foundation organization for hunger relief.

The live shows will support Gunna’s latest album, a gift and a curse, The album debuted at the top of Billboard’s Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart and grossed 85,000 EAUs in the US, according to Luminate data.

That’s about 112.6 million on-demand streams of the album’s songs and about 1,000 physical album units. It’s also the fourth Gunna album to debut at No. 1 – Drip or Drown 2 (2019), Wunna (2020) and DS4Ever (2022) were also all chart toppers when they dropped out.

The song “Fukumean” debuted at the highest number, peaking at #8 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart the week of its release. Gunna’s album managed to slip away Taylor Swift (61,000) but could pass Morgan Wallen (110,000) or K-pop act ATEEZ (101,000). Gunna has been quiet on social media since his arrest in the YSL-RICO case. The rapper entered a plea deal for his release in December 2022 while Young Thug remains behind bars after being denied bail multiple times.

Gunna raps on some of these themes on the 15-track album, mentioning his relationship with Young Thug, allegations of traitors, addiction, his family and how he’s dealt with his time in prison.
