LL Cool J’s Rock The Bells has announced the first African-themed “Afrocruise” cast to sail the Norwegian Pearl from Miami to Nassau in 2024.
Rock The Bells, the platform for promoting hip-hop culture founded by LL Cool J, has announced the first-ever Afrocruise featuring AfroFuture and AfroVerse. Presented by festival and music cruise director Sixthman, the inaugural Afrocruise voyage departs March 29 – April 1, 2024 from Miami, Florida to Nassau, Bahamas aboard Norwegian Pearl.
Afrocruise will feature a range of artists including Adekunle Gold, Ayra Starr, Black Sherif, The Compozers, Juls, Mayorkun, Naira Marley, Spinall, Teni, Uncle Waffles and Zinoleesky. Reservations are now open at theafrocruise.com.
An offshore celebration of all things African and diasporic culture, Afrocruise is an all-encompassing event showcasing fashion, food and the sounds of Afrobeats and Amapiano music. Highlights include a traditional jollof war – a friendly fight over different types of jollof rice, a typical dish in Ghana, Nigeria and other West African countries – as well as a West African Suya pool deck BBQ, DJ sets, tournaments, special workshops , and more under the Caribbean sun.
Additionally, the cruise will feature parties hosted by Afrobeats & Brunch, Amapiano & Brunch, London’s Days Like This (DLT), Positive Vibes Only (PVO), RNB HouseParty and New York City’s popular No Wahala podcast with Tune Day+ Bawo will be presented. More information will be announced in the coming weeks.
Afrocruise fans will enjoy amenities aboard Norwegian Pearl, including full bars on (almost) every corner, delicious dining options, the pool deck with multiple hot tubs, Pearl Club Casino, Mandara Spa, Body Waves Fitness Center and sports court , and much more.
Guests also have the option of taking a shore excursion to Nassau, Bahamas, offered 4 to 6 weeks prior to departure. Cruise lines can book land tours after receiving their official booking number.
