Choose Quiet Meditations and other popular content will be available alongside existing podcasts on Spotify as part of Spotify Open Access, an initiative launched in 2021 to allow companies to offer paid content on Spotify for different tiers of subscribers.
Calm offers a taste of its diversity Offers Eleven series of the meditation app are now available through Spotify, specially curated to support mental well-being by helping to improve sleep, reduce stress and anxiety, and develop mindful habits.
Calm for Sleep (featuring sleep stories with narration by Harry Styles, Jennifer Garner, Wanda Sykes and other celebrities), Calm for Stress & Anxiety, Calm for Meditation, Calm for Beginners, Calm for Kids and episodes of Daily Mindfulness with voices like Jay Shetty, Mel Mah and Tamara Levitt are available now.
Also featured is Camila Cabello’s popular “Breathe Into It” sessions, in which the singer talks about how she’s found peace and positivity despite the struggles with social media and setting boundaries. The “Havana” singer has often credited meditation as a helpful practice in her daily life.
While some content is free for Spotify users, others require a Calm account with a free trial or subscription. Free 30-day trials are available, while a Calm Premium membership costs $14.99 per month or $69.99 per year.
Calm can boast over 100 million downloads and over four million paying subscribers as of October 2022, but with stiff competition from services like Headspace and InsightTimer, partnerships with companies like Spotify will help expand Calm’s potential reach increase and continue to increase the number of its users Base.
