Notes Live has signed a deal with AEG Presents for Colorado Springs’ upcoming outdoor music coliseum Sunset Amphitheater.
Music events and hospitality company Notes Live has signed a deal with entertainment host AEG Presents for the upcoming $55,000,000 outdoor music colosseum Sunset Amphitheater in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Under the terms of the agreement, Sunset will perform approximately 40 concerts each year in a state-of-the-art, 8,000-seat open-air theater at the entertainment-packed Polaris Pointe complex.
In a true owner-operator partnership, AEG Presents will exclusively book the performances and manage day-to-day operations, while Notes Live will retain ownership of the venue. The agreement has a term of ten years, construction of the Sunset is underway and the opening is planned for 2024.
“Words cannot express the extent of our excitement as we embark on this incredible journey together with AEG Presents. This partnership not only solidifies and validates our business model, but represents a truly exceptional alliance. “Any time you have the opportunity to do business with an Anschutz company, it is an honor,” said JW Roth, CEO of Notes Live.
“We look forward to bringing world-class entertainment to Colorado Springs with the Sunset Amphitheater and our new partnership with JW Roth and his team at Notes Live.” This entertainment destination will be a crown jewel of the community for artists and fans to enjoy for years to come will have,” added Brent Fedrizzi, Co-President and COO of AEG Presents Rocky Mountains.
The Sunset, which was named to Billboard’s Venues to Watch list last fall, will host some of the country’s most prominent touring acts on the same campus as Notes Live’s current mid-size music venue, Boot Barn Hall. Designed by industry-renowned architects, Sunset offers an unparalleled view of the sunset over Pikes Peak backstage at the start of each concert.
Amenities include 92 VIP luxury fireplaces, fine seafood and chophouse cuisine, and a rooftop bar featuring over 150 of the world’s rarest bourbons. Notes Live plans to start construction in half a dozen markets by late 2023 or early 2024, with plans to expand to six more markets over the next five years.
In 2022, Notes Live announced new music and entertainment complexes in the emerging markets of Colorado Springs, CO, Gainesville, GA and Murfreesboro, TN. The company identifies markets in regions with growing populations that require more quality music and entertainment venues.
