Apple’s latest version of the iPhone comes with new camera and video recording capabilities. Olivia Rodrigo helped showcase them by filming an entire music video using the iPhone 15.

Apple shared a video clip online after its event announcing the iPhone 15 Pro and the iPhone 15 Pro Max. The entire video was shot in collaboration with Apple using an iPhone 15 Pro as the only capture hardware. The clip takes advantage of new features like Pro Res 4K Log and support for external USB-C drives when recording videos.

The video does a great job of showcasing the new editing features available on the iPhone 15—but then again, shouldn’t it? It is an ad, after all. The video was also shot by director Jack Begert, who has worked with Kendrick Lamar and Paul McCartney in collaboration with Apple to produce ads featuring their products.

The 20-year-old singer has teamed up with Apple several times before to promote their new hardware. In 2021, the music video for “brutal” was edited entirely on an iPad. Rodrigo also shared a series of videos for her fans, showing them how to use the Procreate app on iPad to make new filters for TikTok. Rodrigo is no stranger to technology partnerships, embracing Adobe, Instagram, and Linktree.

With the Apple promotion in her pocket, the singer is now embarking on a 57-date trek produced by Live Nation that will kick off next year. The pop star is also aiming to make sure there are affordable tickets for sale for the tour—a sticking point for many concertgoers in recent years.

Especially those who wanted to see Taylor Swift or Beyonce as dynamic ticket pricing models could make those tickets cost thousands per seat in select cities. There are some catches to these seats, but it’s nice to see artists continue to make efforts towards affordable tickets.
