successor Composer Nicholas Britell signs a deal with Secretly Distribution, releasing the show’s fourth season soundtrack just hours after the finale aired.
Celebrating 25 years of Secretly Distribution as a global leader in the independent music industry and a practical solution for some of the world’s most respected record labels and visionary artists, the company announces a partnership with the three-time Academy Award winner. nominated, Grammy-nominated and Emmy-winning composer Nicholas Britell.
He is best known for his acclaimed film scores with Barry Jenkins and Adam McKay, and most recently for HBO successor, Clandestine Distribution will work directly with the composer on various upcoming projects and campaigns. Just hours after the highly anticipated series finale aired, Secretly Distribution was released Succession: Season 4 (HBO Original Series Soundtrack) to global streaming services via the composer’s newly formed Lake George Music Group label.
“It has been a dream of mine for a long time to release music through my own label and I’m really excited for the final season of successor as our label’s first release,” says Britell. “Lake George Music Group is proud to work with the team at Secretly.”
In addition to Secretly’s growing presence in the world of music for film and television, including the soundtrack label of indie outfit A24 (All everywhere at once)and its partnerships with individual artists such as Britell, Santigold, Madison McFerrin, Beirut and Crumb, the company has expanded its support of artist-owned imprints including Asthmatic Kitty by Sufjan Stevens, Psychic Hotline by Sylvan Esso and We Buy Gold by Dr. Dog records and a diverse selection of legacy real estate deals.
