Universal Music Group is partnering with Pocket.watch to bring the studio’s popular Kids and Family Creator catalog to all major DSPs for the first time.

Pocket.watch, the leading content creation and intellectual property company for children and families, has partnered with Universal Music Group (UMG) to bring the content studio’s extensive catalog of music to digital service providers worldwide.

Titles from YouTube videos and Pocket.watch Original Series airing on platforms like Roku and Hulu are now available to stream and download for the first time. The collaboration will also give Pocket.watch Kids and Family developers the opportunity to release new original titles in the coming months.

Pocket.watch’s 45 children and family artists, with a total of over 750 million subscribers, can use UMG to spread existing songs and create new music. The first catalog release will feature music from select Pocket.watch creators, including songs from the Emmy-nominated Pocket.watch preschool series Ryan’s Mystery Playdate.

Also included on the release are several songs by Kids Diana Show, the most followed kid on YouTube whose videos have garnered billions of views, including “Play It Be It” and “Play It Be It – Halloween.”

“We know that music is a big part of children’s lives, and this mutually beneficial partnership provides a pathway for our extensive library of children’s and family songs to expand beyond their appearance in YouTube videos,” said Albie Hecht, Chief Content Officer at Pocket.watch. “We are proud to be working with Universal Music Group as they continue to grow their investment in children’s music.”

“We are excited to bring Pocket.watch’s music library to a wider audience of children and family listeners,” added Andrew Kronfeld, Executive Vice President of International and Label & Artist Ventures at UMG. “We continue to see growth in this exciting category and look forward to working with the Pocket.watch team and its family of developers.”

Other music included in the initial release of the catalog represents a diverse range of Pocket.watch creators, including the soundtrack from the animated series Onyx Monster Mysteries, featuring Onyx Family, the #1 African American family on YouTube, and songs from Toys and Colors: Kaleidoscope City, featuring YouTube’s top children’s ensemble Toys and Colors, the #11 US-based YouTube channel.
