Virgin Music has inked a deal with Paul Rosenberg’s Goliath Records to release new music from rapper and social media personality Nems.
Virgin Music has announced it has signed an agreement with Paul Rosenberg’s Goliath Records for rapper and social media star Nems’ upcoming album. Rise of the Silverback. Nems’ latest single “Drip” and the new album are due out soon.
“Nems is a battle-hardened New York City street legend with a loyal following he built from the ground up. The same goes for its brands. He has incredible intuition and of course incredible talent,” said Paul Rosenberg, chairman of Goliath Records. “I am delighted to be working with him to bring his music to the world with Goliath Records and Virgin Music.”

Nems coined the term “Bing Bong” in 2021, which went viral on social media and racked up over a billion views for the hashtag #bingbong on TikTok. Numerous celebrities have shared Nems’ sound clips in their videos, including Joe Biden, the Jonas Brothers, John Legend, Lil Nas X, Olivia Rodrigo, Jack Harlow and Avril Lavigne. Meanwhile, the New York Knicks used the sound as a catchphrase.
Nems, the unofficial “Mayor of Coney Island,” rose to prominence on social media with street interview videos from his popular internet show Sidetalk. Along with his haunting songs, Nems caught the attention of music executive Paul Rosenberg, who signed the rapper to his Goliath Records label.
Since his debut album in 2010, Nems has collaborated with some of the biggest names in rap including Fat Joe, D12, Busta Rhymes, Styles P, Ghostface Killah, Dave East and more. Nems, a well-known battle rapper, was selected to join MTV2’s Fight Klub league, where he recorded the most wins of any MC in league history.
Nems has created numerous albums, started a successful clothing line (FYL), performed stand-up comedy and hosted a season of REVOLT’s The Crew League. His forthcoming album Rise of the Silverbackwas produced by Grammy-nominated Scram Jones.
