What cost reduction? Spotify Announces “Spotify Beach” Event in Southern France

Spotify travels to the Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity to transform Spotify Beach into a live music scene.

Opening night features a performance by artist HER and a DJ set by the Collyer Twins. Spotify says it will host daytime master classes and evening events from June 19-22. Creativity, connection and innovation are at the forefront at each of these events. Attendees can look forward to sessions with Spotify executives and guests including Alex Cooper and Emma Chamberlain. In the meantime, Trevor Noah will be with Spotify CEO and co-founder Daniel Ek for a chat.

On Tuesday night, Florence + The Machine and Jack Harlow will take the stage, accompanied by DJs will.i.am and Uncle Waffles. Wednesdays feature performances from Foo Fighters and A$AP Rocky, as well as a DJ set from Disclosure.

In addition to all live performances, Spotify Beach features multiple interactive experiences such as daily sound bath meditations, an immersive Songs of Summer soundscape, FC Barcelona gaming zone, Sonic Sips coffee and juice bar, bespoke sunglass gift station, and much more.

Monday 19 June

Taj Alavi, VP, Global Head of Marketing of Spotify, Charlie Smith, CMO of Loewe, and Emma Chamberlain, Creator of Anything Goes will share their approaches to what they create and their style in relation to partnerships and projects, brand building and Discuss brand positioning.

Tuesday June 20th

Join Daniel Ek and Trevor Noah as they discuss the future of storytelling and the art of navigating multiple mediums to connect more deeply with global audiences. They offer insights into how creators can tell stories in more meaningful ways and effectively leverage new technologies in the ever-evolving media landscape.

Wednesday June 21st

Joe Hadley, Global Head of Artist Partnerships at Spotify; Tye Comer, creative development and founder of Spotify’s Outside Voice program; and Erin Styles, Global Head of Ads Business Communications & PR, will introduce Tina Mahal, SVP of Marketing at Frito-Lay North America; and WACL President Rania Robinson.

They discuss the importance of culture-shaping programs that support and amplify diverse voices. This is part of Spotfiy’s ongoing commitment to empower creators and inspire our audience to empower underrepresented communities in their own work.
